ISNA High School
” As a student at ISNA High School, I feel it’s important to share my honest opinion about some of my experiences. One of the most frustrating aspects of this school has been my time in Mr. Rohomaully’s class. In math class First off, he rarely teaches in a way that helps students understand the material. His lessons are unclear, and he doesn’t engage with the class in a meaningful way. Many students, including myself, have struggled to keep up because the content is not explained properly. To make matters worse, Mr. Rohomaully left in the middle of the year, which only added to the confusion. We were left without proper instruction, and it felt like we were being abandoned. It was difficult for us to keep up with the curriculum, and the lack of continuity in the teaching made it even harder. MR IS THE REASON I FAILED THIS SEM ISNA FIND BETTER TEACHERS PLS On top of that, he is extremely tough on students. His expectations are unrealistic, plus sometime he says gossip about me to mr abdullah and there doesn’t seem to be any flexibility or understanding when it comes to individual challenges. Instead of being a teacher who supports his students, Mr. Rohomaully comes off as unapproachable and harsh.Overall, my experience with this teacher has been very negative, and I hope the school can work on providing better support for students in the future. “
” I went to the school’s office to ask why they no longer had a librarian, and would you believe the answer they gave me?! She said, “because the students are more interested in electronics and digital media”. So we’re letting the students run the school? I guess we should let them write the curriculum too, eh? And hey, I’m not against modern technology at all but nothing can replace an actual library with physicals books. Considering the first command Allah sent down was, “اقرأ” which means, “read” or “recite”, how can an Islamic school not have a library and have no shame in not having one?! (Surah Al-‘Alaq of the Qur’an). “
” I am grateful to have gone to this school. It has some really great teachers, who helped shape my perspective based on Islamic principles, for the better. This school was exactly what I needed during a confused, turbulent time. It challenged me in a positive way that facilitated a lot of personal growth, and understanding. “
